Margarita Chilli Salt Guacamole

Guacamole has to be one of our favourites for entertaining. Not just because you can pair it easily with our favourite Margarita recipe, but because it's so easy and SUPER tasty!

This fool proof recipe will have the taste buds of your guests dancing with delight. It's best to use fresh lime juice to enhance the fresh flavour. 

This guac can be made in less than 10 minutes! How easy is that?

 

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno chilli, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coriander (leaves and tender stems), finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt flakes
  • Pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 ripe tomato, finely chopped
  • Garniche79 Chilli Margarita Salt, to garnish
  • Tortilla chips, to serve

Method:

Halve avocados and remove pips. Remove avocado flesh and place in a medium mixing bowl. Crush with a fork but not too much, leave small/medium chunks, no one likes pureed guacamole!

Add in salt, pepper, coriander, tomato, onion and jalapeno. Stir through til combined. Serve in your favourite bowl and sprinkle with Garniche79 Margarita Salt for that extra special finish. It's best to use plain tortilla/corn chips to let the guacamole shine.

To store the leftover guacamole, flatten out with a spoon and press cling wrap to the surface. The less oxygen that has access to the avocado the greener it will stay.
